TIPS TO HELP FIND YOUR LOST DOG: ✔️Place his/her bedding, a piece of your unwashed clothing, bedding or even your worn socks, and a bowl of water (no food) in your front yard. He/she may be able to pick up the scent and find his/her way home. ✔️ Walk around the area calling to your dog and shaking a bag/box of treats or squeezing a favorite squeaky toy. ✔️If he/she is microchipped contact the microchip company to report him/her lost and update your contact information. ✔️Hang flyers (use a bright color board or paper) with your dog's picture in your neighborhood, surrounding areas, local shopping centers, businesses, vet's offices, groomers, etc. within a five mile radius from your home. ✔️Leave your information with all local businesses near where your dog went missing!! ✔️Go door to door with the flyers as well and try to speak with people when handing out flyers. Talk to the mailman and UPS/FedEx/delivery drivers! They see a lot! ✔️Make a sign with his/her picture and put it in your front yard stating he/she is missing. ✔️File a lost report with the shelters in your area and surrjounding area shelters (you can usually do it online) ✔️Check with the local homeless population. ✔️Check shelters in person, daily if possible. Ask to see dogs in isolation too. ✔️Check shelter websites as well. ✔️Check shelter found reports for dogs found but not at the shelter. ✔️Take a flyer to the shelters. ✔️File online with lostmydoggie.com, petharbor.com, pawboost.com ✔️Post on area lost and found pet and community Facebook pages, area shelter Facebook pages, newspapers, nextdoor.com and Craig's List under "pets" and "Lost and Found" ✔️http://important.littlethings.com/missing-lost-dog-pet-tips-tricks-how-to-find/?utm_source=cl&utm_medium=Facebook&utm_campaign=animals

Go to the shelters in person. Many dogs don’t end up getting posted on shelter online site
