I’m SO praying for you and your baby. For what it’s worth, I took in a stray Turkish Angora cat that had been hanging around my neighborhood when the winter got bad. She was clearly an expensive cat and had been loved by someone. I fed her, bathed her and kept her warm and safe while it was frigid outside. And I put up signs in the neighborhood with her picture on it. But nothing happened. Then spring came. She kept clawing at the door to get out. She got out, stayed gone all day, but came back that night. She did that for a couple of weeks, staying out all day, but coming home to eat and sleep. Then one day, she stopped coming back. A month later, she came back, all shampooed and perfumed with a pretty new collar. She brought me a dead mouse. She let me pet her for awhile and left for good. I think she finally found her way back home and just came back to say thank you. My point is this: Animals are smart and there are more kind people in the world than cruel. DON’T GIVE UP HOPE.
