Kitty with outdoor experience? It should know its way home. But since it hasn't come home, experts say it could be trapped somewhere and needs you to search for it. Search its territory (can be up to a 1,000 foot radius around its home) for where it could be trapped: in/under sheds, neighbors' garages, barns, up trees and roofs, and in drains. Use a flashlight in dark areas and at night to get a reflection from its eyes. It could be injured so check the side of the road and every nook where it could seek refuge. For those living in the cat's territory but not on social media for pets, knock on neighbors' doors and post laminated, readable LOST fliers with pic and phone number and "Do Not Chase" on STOP signs in its territory in the hope of getting sightings. If someone is feeding cats in your area, definitely talk with them. Go out with a container of its food, shake it and calmly call it to come eat. Stop and listen for meows.
