He will be very close - within a few houses. Start at the exit point and move out. Then back in. He will roam 24-48 hours from date of escape and then hunker down and hide in silence until he reaches his threshold (hunger). It may take days. He may NOT meow, even if you are standing next to him. Check in and under everything. Porches, storm sewers, in trees, window wells, bushes…sheds and decks. He could have gotten in somewhere but cannot back out. Go with a flashlight and do eye shines for him at dusk and dawn. Active search right now is the only way you will find him.

Also at every entrance to your house and at Dawn and Dusk go out with Flashlights and treats, look under everything bushes, decks porches, cars wood piles etc No Litterboxes outside attracts Rodents! And you might leave Garage door open 3" and place a sturdy box with blankets or carrier in there with stinky foods and water and tiny bit of its poooo Best of luck seriously and when it's home be sure to Chip your Bestie and stay safe and warm inside. Science states Cats living inside live longer and happier life's than cats that are allowed to roam. Best of luck 🫶💕🙏🏻🤞😿☮️👍

Put something you wore today outside on your porch with shelter, ask neighbors if they spotted him in their garage or shed or trees. Praying for a swift return 🙏
