Start with a humane trap you can get from a hardware store. Put it near where they got out. Put up posters with a reward for productive info. Go door to door at least three streets on every side of you. Bring the cat food bag or box and shake it. Check garages and places where your cat may investigate. Look under every car. Have a friend go with you for support. Listen very carefully because he may not come but give faint mews in response. He or she is probably terrified and afraid to make noise.
