Owner: Penny Warren please find our FULL search and retrive bird protocols Welcome to 911 Parrot Alert (Official) an international group dedicated to reuniting lost and found birds. Our goal is to equip our members with the necessary tools and knowledge needed in order to reunite lost and found birds back with their families. 911 Parrot Alert has outlined some pertinent steps that should be taken in the event you have lost or found a bird which includes the following: 1. Search & Retrieve Protocol: This is an important document that will assist in your search for your missing bird. It provides guidance on what to do and how to search for your bird along with information for retrieving your bird once spotted. Please download, print and follow the instructions in the protocol at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B78YYzbJx75hMmZyM3J1S3ZiLTg/view?usp=sharing **Here are some helpful retrieval scenarios in case your bird is found in a tree** https://resourcesforlostfoundparrots.blogspot.com/p/retrieval-scenarios.html 2. Nextdoor: Is a free social networking service that will allow you to connect with and alert your neighborhood and community of a lost or found bird. Please get an urgent lost or found message posted in your area asap nextdoor.com 3. Database: It is important to list your lost or found bird in the databases provided as both owners and finders search these databases for lost or found birds. Please post your lost or found bird in 911 Parrot Alert's database located at http://www.911parrotalert.com/ AND in the databases provided on the resource page located at http://resourcesforlostfoundparrots.blogspot.com/ 4. Fliers: If you have a lost or found a parrot and need a flier created, you may do so directly from the resource page. These fliers can be used for Facebook, Instagram or any other online postings and can also be printed. Fliers are an effective way to alert your neighborhood and community of a lost or found bird. 5. Advertise: Please get a lost or found ad posted in both the 'lost & found' and 'pet' sections on Craigslist.org The newspaper and local media could also be a helpful source in reaching out to people. The more people who are aware of your missing bird the better chance you have in being reunited. 6. Owner: Max will be most active out searching for food at first light [dawn] and dusk so you need to be outside pre-dawn, [they roost in place overnight as they do not see in the dark] play Cockatiel vocals and sounds, recordings, etc call, whistle, shake food or treat bags etc do whatever it takes to make vocally respond as you will hear before you see him/her Bring fav food and toy to get attention If in tree or high, (roofs etc) Here’s the guide to coax down: retrieval scenarios in case your bird is found in a tree** https://resourcesforlostfoundparrots.blogspot.com/p/retrieval-scenarios.html ‼️Put cage out to see with food and water and treats toy etc‼️

Owner: I was tagged as Im an admin for both 911parrotalert and Texas Lost and Found Birds Parrots It would be helpful to list a phone contact so if your Tiel is spotted or found you can be reached asap before he may fly off to another location I will list a series of what to do... First- IF you haven’t yet; post in your Nextdoor.com site; Put post in the lost and Found category and check off all surrounding neighborhoods for widest distribution
