**LOST DOG: Urgent - Needs Daily ** Our blue French Bulldog, **Ruger**, ran out of our yard this evening around 8:00 PM and is currently missing. Because he had just been bathed, he is **not wearing his collar or harness**. Ruger has severe skin allergies and requires critical daily topical . He is incredibly special to our family, especially our son, and we are heartbroken. We live at the very end of **Metzger Road** in a two-story grey hse on a large, gated property. We have already searched the neighborhood, the surrounding roads, and the nearby grove on foot and by car, but have had no luck so far. If you see him or have any information, please secure him and call us immediately at ****, or bring him directly back to our home. Thank you so much for your UPDATE: My son is 14, and this is his pup. Last night, after crying himself to sleep, he slept in my bed. I sat beside him throughout the night, quietly crying as well. He kept whimpering in his sleep, so I stayed close to stroke his head and reassure him that he was safe so he could drift back into a deep sleep. Ruger isn’t just a dog to us—he is everything. He is my boy's rock. I bought Ruger for Wyatt’s birthday back in 2020 during my divorce when a dog was the only thing he wanted. As a single mother of three, I worked three jobs and saved thousands of dollars to make that happen. Ruger means the world to our family. This morning, I received a text from an unknown phone number and an iMessage from an iCloud email address. The email claimed to be from the daughter of the man who owns the phone number. When the man called me, he began asking incredibly strange questions and speaking down to me, acting as though I was lying about owning Ruger. He asked things like, *"So you mean to tell me you knew the gate was open?"* and *"So you knew he didn’t have a collar and harness on?"* When I tried to ask questions in return—like, *"Have you even read the posts I made on social media?"* and *"Why are you speaking to me like that?"*—he became loud, aggressive, and mean. He hung up on me and began sending texts filled with horrible names and obscenities. Then, he started texting me as if I were a three-year-old being punished, saying, *"You woke up on the wrong side of the bed... we can try again later."* At this point, I am incredibly emotional, shaking, and forced to use talk-to-text because I can barely type. Please read between the lines here. I did call 911, and the officer told me that if I can get this person to send a photo of Ruger and agree to bring him to me, the police will be there to facilitate the exchange so I don’t have to interact with them directly. I have tried calling the number back, and I've even had two other men and the police officer call it as well, but the person refuses to answer now. My sister ran a background check on the number; it is a Michigan number but is currently associated with an address in Palm City. At this stage, none of us truly believe they actually have Ruger. Since this individual refuses to answer, I don't know what to believe. All I can do now is keep praying that our boy wanders back home.
