Wendy: Lost Dog Reunited in Chesapeake, VA!

“Wendy and her brother Teppei have a doggy door and usually go in and out of the house while my husband and I are at work all day. When I came home that day, only one dog was there to greet me. Instant panic set in. After scouring the yard, I found the tiniest hole underneath part of our fence that she must have gotten through. She wasn’t wearing her collar, and I found out later that the company I registered her microchip through had gone bankrupt, so there was no way for someone to contact us if they had her.
My dad suggested posting to Facebook. I looked up some local lost pet groups and saw a post from PawBoost. I figured it couldn’t hurt to try, so I made an account and posted Wendy’s info and photo. Once complete, I saw it already had two comments after only being up for 3 minutes. I opened it, and the first comment (literally one minute after it had been posted) was from my local shelter with a photo of Wendy saying they had her!! I could not believe how fast it worked; we were SO relieved.
Picked her up right when they opened the next day. Later on that Facebook post, the neighbor who found her had also commented, saying she made her way into their yard. So not only did the shelter see that post, but my neighbor even found it! It wouldn’t have been possible to find her so quickly and have that peace of mind without finding PawBoost.
She was missing from about noon on Friday, found out the shelter had her through PawBoost’s Facebook post around 7:30 p.m. that night, and we were reunited by 8 AM the next morning. Less than 24 hours!”

Dakota: Lost Dog Reunited in Nacogdoches, TX!

“We didn’t know how Dakota got out. When I got home, Dakota wasn’t there. I got on Facebook and posted that he was missing. People commented, and one lady said she saw him up the street. And about 30 minutes after that, another lady saw him running out of town.
We have a loop around our city. Dakota kept on traveling around the loop for weeks. I posted my name and phone number in many groups. I must have had over 200+ phone calls, texts, Facebook private messages, comments, and a bunch of shares. There were tons of sightings of Dakota.
About 5 weeks into his journey, I was called to come to where he was. As soon as I pulled up to him, he started walking off because he was scared. I called to him and he ran off. So I drove down the road and couldn’t find him. He didn’t recognize me. So I kept on following him. At one point, he tried to cross the road and he almost got hit by a truck. At that point, I backed off. I’d rather have him out using his survival skills and thinking clearly than getting hit because he was scared of me.
A couple of days later, I had to leave for my grandson’s graduation out of state. Dakota kept coming around the next couple of days. Then one day, my SIL was in the house, and Dakota used the doggie door to get in. And when Dakota came into the house and ran into my bedroom, my SIL closed the door. I came home 2 days later!! I was worried that when Dakota ran from me, he had gone feral and didn’t recognize me. But once I walked in the house, it all came back to him, and he’s been stuck like glue to me and remembers EVERYTHING!!!! I have my baby back!!!”

Found Dog Reunited in Coats, NC!

“The dog wandered onto the property where I am living. 6-pound, well-groomed, friendly, active, and loving Yorkshire Terrier. I posted on PawBoost, NextDoor, and Facebook. I got the first call/message about 5:30 the next morning, and the grandfather came and retrieved her about 8 AM. I knew whoever she belonged to was terrified; she was so tiny. We live on a busy highway.
I believe they contacted me through PawBoost, and so glad they did. So grateful for the happy reunion.
Because PawBoost allows me to post an identifying photo and give a phone number if I am comfortable. They identified key information I left out. Planned to scan for a chip the next morning, but PawBoost also gave me very good guidelines should the owners not identify her.”
Moko: Lost Cat Reunited in Circle Pines, MN!

“I don’t let my cats outside, but I do let them in the garage once in a while because they like to explore; and I must have left the door cracked open too much where he was able to squeeze out? had never happened in the 7 years that I’ve had him. I didn’t think he would go far, but it was difficult looking for him because we had had heavy rain for the past couple of days.
A little girl named Logan found him under their deck in the morning at a house down across the road from my townhouse. Her mother, Jordan, and her rang my doorbell earlier this afternoon, and I was greeted with “We found your cat!!” They brought him back in a carrier, and I was so shocked and happy to see him! I had offered a reward and gave Logan $50; she just wanted to pet the kitty again because she said he was so soft.
I was amazed at the power of social media and how the message was spread so quickly to so many thoughtful people in my area!! I greatly appreciated the joint efforts of everyone! It was a happy ending for all!!
The news spread fast, and I couldn’t be happier to have Moko back home. I am so happy that there are so many caring animal lovers out there!”

Zena & Zelda: Lost Cats Reunited in Las Vegas, NV!

“My little girls went missing while I was in the hospital. The people taking care of them thought they were just hiding, but at some point, they had gotten out.
Having the community come together made me not feel alone in my search for my little girls. There were people actually going out looking for them, calling their names, and giving me ideas and suggestions that actually worked.
I’m not sure how long my babies were out alone. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks. Trying to fix a timeline, they were on their own for at least 2 weeks. They have always been inside cats and very pampered. How they survived, I have no idea. I’m just glad they did!
I would recommend PawBoost and all the other cat-loving communities that pulled together to make the return of my little girls possible. Again, thank you to all of the Earth Angels out there. I am truly blessed to have found you all. And to have found my little angels. Zena & Zelda, thank you too.”
