Sammy is a senior dog who is partially blind and deaf. He may also have dog dementia, so it’s very important to bring him back to his family since we know how to care for him. He has some discoloration on his back and has long hair on his tail.

Please post on Nexdoor and Ring for people not on FB. Report to shelter as lost and check in person, check with homeless people some like to keep stray dogs. Immediately place unwashed items of clothing with strong familiar scent outside your front door area and hanging from a tree to attract pup back home, dogs can follow the scent from far away. Hope pup is found safe.

For Sammy’s people: You have likely done this already but if not, please post flyers in the area where Sammy went missing (and/or last sighted), and knock on doors. Not everyone is on social media. You might also ask folks to check their security monitors... Might capture something useful in the footage. Also remember to check the Pawboost FOUND and SIGHTINGS listings, and with local animal shelters. And phone to ask their current protocols. I have heard that visiting in person to review their intake logs is the best way to get accurate information. Also consider posting on NextDoor. I hope to read a positive update on Sammy soon.
