General Information: Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.

Post on Nextdoor and Ring apps. Ask neighbors to check car hoods, garages and sheds immediately. Make sure to tap hoods of the car around. Keep an entryway open for cat to get in. Buy or loan a live cat trap from online stores or local tnr groups. Leave your garage open with cat to enter. Put some food and your clothing there for smell. Get a motion sensor camera to detect when cat is around your property

If you can, put up bright flyers w/ his photo and your contact info ASAP in area where Marshall went missing. Include a note asking people to check for him in their garages, shops, and crawl spaces. Go out early with a flashlight, and call his name softly. Look in bushes, culverts, and way up in trees — anywhere he might have gone to escape from a fog or predator. Contact nearby shelters and vets to ask if anyone has reported seeing him or turned him in. Post on Nextdoor to reach the many local people who don’t use Facebook. People on Nextdoor helped friends and us locate our missing pets when no other site did, and Nextdoor is free. Best of luck finding him!
