I posted the while neighborhood door to door and a friend posted the info on all local missing pet websites. I called the humane society. After the 3td day I posted a reward on it. I just kept looking and handing out posters. That led to sightings by someone with a night camera and neighbors on a side street nearby. I put her food out and some of my clothing. I was advised NOT to put the litter box out (attracts predators) in the reading. A house cat usually doesn’t go further than 7-9 houses. Mine was just a few minutes away, turned out. I did learn that a cats adrenaline (fight or flight hormone) level goes up and they won’t answer or show themselves till they feel safe. I finally (day 4-5) saw her run behind homes and under a high fence I couldn’t see through behind an empty property. I called for her 2 days till I finally brought a ladder and trap with food/water. I called as I looked over the fence. She finally showed herself when she could smell her food. No trap needed. Took a week! Good luck. Posting and talking to people on the streets got the word out in this section of the city.
