Description

Female Brown Tabby long hair (with white, brown, black and beige/ginger). Very shy, likely won’t let people approach or touch her.

Message from Owner

She was a stray when I adopted her at 8 months old. Currently she is 6. Chipped, and spayed. Hoping she still has some street smarts. She is very shy and timid around strangers. Probably easiest caught by luring her, rather than trying to handle her. She absolutely hates to be picked up. Gentle scruffing has been the most successful with her when needing to handle her for vet appointments. She is athletic and ‘slippery’ to handle. She is sweet, gentle, and affectionate at home. May come to you if you ask her “Do you want some pets?”.

Checking neighbors backyard properties is crucial. (Neighbors will not check as thoroughly as you will, or at all, so ask them if you can check) Indoor cats will hide quickly after getting outside. Check under bushes and remember, when afraid, they won’t respond to you calling them. Someone in my area had their cat get out and she found him 3 and a half weeks later only 4 houses away hiding in a backyard under patio furniture. The only reason he was detected was because the lady who lived there happened to look out her window and see him under the table in the backyard and recalled seeing the lost cat notice on our community FB page. -put out (unwashed) cat bed/blankets/your clothes that smell of home -put up posters in your area- important-not everyone is on facebook + if someone sees your cat but cannot find your lost cat post -leave trails of vacuum contents leading to your home -leave a basement window or garage door open enough they can get in.

Ask to check people's sheds and garages .May have gotten locked in. Put her litter box outside and blanket with her scent. Don't give up .I'm praying she is found.

Keep checking with Animal Services - always best to go in there - post flyers - go door to door - also post on other sites - don't give up looking for your fur baby - my friend's kitty was missing for weeks and was found! shared
