Message from Owner

Please help me find my furbaby. Ive had him since he was 6 weeks old. He's 16 now. We've been through a lot together. I struggle with my health and there have been times he was the only reason I kept going. Please help me bring him home.

Put up signs, contact local vets and shelters, talk to your neighbors, and post on all the lost and found groups you can find. Put out food and water. Leave a way open for him to get back inside or make him a shelter. If you don't have a camera, get one (to see if he comes home for the food....a neighbor's camera is not the same), and keep food out for the kitty. Go out really early in the morning like 3 when it's totally quiet and call softly and listen for your kitty to answer back. They go into wild mode sometimes after they've been out when they're used to being in, so be prepared for the kitty to run or seem aggressive. One of ours recently got out and this is how we got her back after 10 days. We saw her on the camera at 3AM the 9th day. I went out and called for her at 3 the next morning when it was still and quiet outside. She answered back to me from behind our rose bushes. She bit me twice while I was bringing her in, but she was acting like herself again in a few hours after she settled down. It sometimes takes 10-14 days for a scared cat to be comfortable enough to come back around home. I hope you get your kitty home. Good luck.

Tia Martin *Take a flashlight and look anywhere he could hide - under houses, porches, steps, behind shrubbery and any OUTBUILDINGS he could have gotten closed up in. The flashlight will reflect his eyes *Look UP trees in case something chased him *Go out late evening and early morning when it's quiet to call and LISTEN for him. If he's scared or not well, he may not come, but he might "answer" you *Put some of your recently worn clothing outside near the door - something with a strong scent, like dirty socks *Check with neighbors, especially those who have cats *Post BRIGHTLY COLORED signs in the area with his picture and your contact info on them. Not everyone does social media and the signs will be visible to kids, neighbors and delivery people *Check carefully around your vehicles! Look under the hood and in the wheel wells *Be sure to check any and all other 'Lost'/'Found' sites and Nextdoor. Some people will post on one and not others *Look near sources of water *Check at PAWS, IN PERSON and often! Don't depend on a phone call *Check any wooded areas nearby where he could have gotten tangled up in brush *If you have any security cameras, be sure to check the footage. If possible, leave a porch or garage door slightly open in case he comes home while you're away or asleep I hope you find him soon! I have two 16 year-old cats (sisters) that I've had since they were born. I know how worried you must be... 🙏🏻
