LAST SEEN: JUNE 19TH IN TUSCANY NW CONTACT INFO: Melissa Phone: Please feel free to call at any time day or night for information regarding Indy. I feel like I've looked everywhere. I know it's a LONG SHOT, but does anybody have a scent trained dog that could help me look. I'm obviously willing to pay for your time. Please DM me if this is possible. I've been looking for her every night and haven't found a trace. She disappeared while I was out of town. Indy was raised from a kitten and is very friendly, but she is not used to being outside and may be scared, confused, and hiding. Please keep an eye out for any orange tabby cat in the area. PLEASE CHECK: -Under vehicles -Inside sheds, garages, and outbuildings -Along the sides of hses -Under decks and porches -Bushes, window wells, and other tight hiding spots -Anywhere a scared cat could be trapped or hiding -Security camera or doorbell footage I know it's a lot to ask but we would be incredibly grateful if you could review it for any sign of her and let us know if you see anything That could help us. She is a deeply loved cat and it would mean the world to me for her to be brought home safely. Indy is microchipped. If you spot her but cannot safely catch her, or our concerned she may scratch because she's scared, please call 311 and they can help contact us. Even a sighting or update that she appears okay would mean the world to me. I am heartbroken and doing everything possible to bring her home. I'm desperately hoping someone noticed she looked lost and took her in and just hasn't seen I'm looking for her yet. CALL OR TEXT ANYTIME, DAY OR NIGHT I would also like to say thank you to everybody who's reached out and let me know they'll keep an eye out for her or to give me good wishes. I'm actually amazed that this community is as wonderful as it is. Thank you everyone.

I went out of town this weekend and my cat Indy got out of the hse. I can’t find her and am very upset. I am hoping someone can help me get her back home.

Rent or borrow a humane trap. The SPCA and other animal shelters rent them out for $100. When you return the trap you get your $100 back. Place the trap near where the cat escaped. Put some of the cat's favorite food and treats inside of the trap along with an article of your clothing with your scent on it. This method worked for me on two different occasions. If you trap the wrong cat or some other animal, put a blanket over the trap leaving the door exposed. Stand behind the trap and release the animal. Reset the trap. Time is of the essence so do this asap. Good luck and God bless.

To the owner, if you haven’t already, go door to door in your community to ask your neighbours. There is a good chance that the cat is hiding in someone's yard. We found our cat once 7 houses’ away, he had been hiding under their deck and they took him in.

I found a cat that looks like her a great deal on the Humane Society stray cat webpage. The date found was the same day my husband said he last saw her and even the way she's rubbing her face against the crate bars is very indy. The only thing is they have the gender as male, however, I found her adoption papers from 13 years ago and had forgotten they had said she was male but then she went into heat and it was never changed on her chip. Is it possible they just scanned her chip and put that information there even though incorrect it can be hard to tell if it's a girl or a boy. But my phone number is attached to the chip so I would have suspected they would've called me? I know I'm grasping at straws. I was out all night looking for her under bushes and decks and in the ravine and sitting outside waiting to see if she came. I know I can't do anything until this place opens tomorrow but if anyone has any information on whether the gender could have been taken directly from the chip or entered incorrectly let me know. I'm not sure why it matters but it feels like it does. *Keep trying what's listed....All the best in your beautiful cat's return,~💜💜 **Cats that get outside, they tend to panic & hide, usually close to home. When it's dark out, go outside with a flashlight or headlamp & look under every bush, vehicles anything they might go to for safety around your home. Watch for their Eyes to light up with the beam of the flashlight. Let neighbors know, they sometimes will get locked in an open shed & Put posters up. Leave out some bedding/clothing of theirs & yours, but NOT the litter box. Going out with a bag of treats OR whatever your cat loves to eat... calling their name. IF at all possible to leave a window or door open, when it's quiet many have come back. Continue looking & calling. The cat is scared & hiding & may have been chased.
