Message from Owner

Gwen snuck out while my grandma was going out of the hse yesterday. My grandma sent a bunch of people out searching for her as I wasn't home at the time, so she is probably scared as can be. I really hope they didn't scare her too far and she comes home. She was a stray from over here but that doesn't take away the chances of cars, coyotes and other things from happening. She is quite friendly with new people but her being outside might change that back to fight or flight. Please come home Gwen, your mom and your sisters miss you already.

Search basically everywhere a cat that size can hide, going out a few blocks in every direction from your home, speaking with neighbors as you go, looking in bushes, in trees, under decks, porches, cars, in garages, in window wells, in children’s toy houses, etc., UP if they have claws; put out food, water & a few articles of ‘smelly’ clothing in a sheltered area near your door &/or in live trap - scent can help guide them home. Make lost report with MADACC & check their website - they post pics of all animals turned in & update daily; do same on Pawboost, PetFBI, Petco & any other site you can find. Make fliers & post in your area. Hoping you get your baby home soon!

Nayak Sam its on next door and ring. Garage has been cracked for her. I've put out her bed and favorite blanket. I try to put litter box out during the day not to attract coyotes at night

Please, try using a live trap. They often work.

Hope u find your kitty❤️ Put food near your door. Place a baby monitor and/or home security camera near the food so you can hear/see when your cat is there eating and go and get him/her. Check MADACC and other humane societies. Post on Lost Cats of Wisconsin. Keep checking each day! Check under bushes and other places in your yard and neighborhood to see if he is hiding there. Cats become scared and won't come when called. Don't give up. People find their cats months later. My friend found their cat 3 months after it got lost. It was hiding under a bush in the neighborhood, not coming when called and acting feral… very scared! Prayers! Hope u find your kitty❤️ Put food near your door. Lost cats Search for him/ her using a flashlight. He/ she will be frightened and will hide. It also might not respond to your calling him/ her. A flashlight will reflect in the eyes, allowing you to see it in dark spaces. Use it day and night.

Cats can be very good hiders when scared. It took me a week of doing everything repeatedly from the tips I shared previously. Then on one of my 3-5am searches when it’s quiet and deserted, I heard a faint meow and found her hiding behind bushes not far from home in a place I'd searched before. Don’t give up. I know of some cats that took weeks before they were found or came home. Also it would be very good to try a live trap. Partially cover it with something with your and/or their scent. Use tuna or sardines and set at regular times when you can monitor it.
