She was a stray and came up on my porch three days after I buried my son and she felt very special to me. I really feel I need her back. Tomorrow will be my son’s death date that he went to be with God and I would love to have mama kitty back, I named her that because I felt that he sent her to me to fill my emptiness inside so please watch after her and make sure if you see her please contact me she will not let you pick her up. She is still a little feral, but she knows me and I call her and she comes right to me. Let me pet her and all she’s very good to me. I just have never been able to pick her up but that didn’t mean anything to me. The most meant to me was that I had her and now she’s gone, so please if she is located anywhere please call me and let me know. My number is 321-231-0953 thank you.

Mama Kitty is a beautiful longhair eartipped mackerel blue tabby cat (gray striped) -- I'm sorry she's been lost for so long. Is Mama Kitty an escaped indoor cat or is she allowed outside? Her familiarity with the environment will dictate how to find her. Escaped indoor cats usually hide close by but are too frightened to return or respond when called; while a cat that knows her way around may have become stuck somewhere and needs help getting home. I have recovered many lost cats and assisted others so if you tell me about Mama Kitty I can provide complete instructions that may help. Meanwhile, please continue to remind neighbors she's lost using signs, flyers, and Nextdoor — Mama may have been seen or fed by someone nearby who has no idea where she belongs. When posting on Nextdoor, make sure the title sentence of your post includes a description and location; e.g., "Lost fluffy gray striped cat @ (street name) in 12/2023" rather than "Lost cat" to distinguish it from other posts, allowing members to search for it and know what to look for without having to click on the link in the digest. Also, comment frequently to keep it in the newsfeed. The same holds true for Facebook. Perhaps this video will revive hope of finding Mama Kitty. Hang in there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2eCoC63B9I

If you haven't already, also post on Lost and Found Pets of Central Florida, post flyers asap for people who don't use social media, and PLEASE watch the YouTube video, "How to Find a Lost Cat." It gives excellent advice, and the sooner you use the tips, the more likely you will find your kitty. If he's chipped, make sure the information is up-to-date and registered. Don't give up hope. Many cats are found weeks or even months after they go missing. I hope you're reunited with Shadow very soon.

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.
