Share on Nextdoor. com, Ring App and Pawboost. Ask people in your posts to be watching and review security footage for your dog. Request if they see them to invite them water and dog foid into a fenced yard or garage, but don't chase. Notify your local shelters with pictures. Notify local police with flyers. If your dog is consistently sighted in one area and no one can catch the dog look up Lost Pet Recovery on Facebook and message them. They help to humanely trap lost dogs. You can also ask on your posts if anyone knows of a Lost Pet Recovery volunteer, that can be faster than messaging when time is of the essence. Google pet FBI how to find a lost dog for great tips to find your dog.

Beware of people who will tell you they found your dog, but you have to message them on FB or text a code to a certain phone number. These are the scams. A person who truly found your dog will not put conditions on you except maybe to show them proof of ownership, like pictures. Also, people will tell you how they used a recovery/search agency to find their pet. Also, a scam to take your money. Most of those services are not even in the TriState. Exception is, Reaves Recovery and Rescue which is here in Cincinnati area, but does charge a fee since it is a business. There is also Lost Pet Recovery out of Columbus with volunteers here in TriState. Notify your area police depts through their nonemergency number that you lost your dog. You can make a lost dog report at your local animal shelter or Cincinnati Animal CARE. Check in person at least every other day because they are very busy. Stray hold is only 3 days before can be adopted out. Put up brightly colored posters on poles around the area. You can have them laminated at office supply store. One poster board can be made into 3 signs. Hope you find your dog!

Hang some of your unwashed clothes out so the dog can pick up your scent. If you haven’t already, call police depts. in your area, county and local shelters, vets, with a description of your dog. Some PDs are very helpful about taking info on lost/found pets. Make up large, easily read flyers and post them in your neighborhood. Post a lost ad on nextdoor.com. Visit the local shelters or humane society every couple of days IN PERSON, don't just call. They have so many dogs that it’s easy to overlook one. Good luck!
