Check with neighbours and surrounding Call all local vets and pounds Check all surrounding CCTV for any suspicious activity or foxes Late night early morning call is very important incase caught in neighbours garage etc Take a torch to reflect eyes If rural areas try a thermal drone or monoculars. Check dams rivers etc. Flyers are important Pets often found close by as held by neighbours too afraid to call.pound in fear pet will be euthanised Physically check pounds as mistakes are made Chips can fail reading. Check marketplace & gumtree for quick resale. Call council roadside collections also to eliminate the worst. If recently relocated pets are known to travel back to old residence.

Sarah Fulford Good advice. I also suggest owner wave around unwashed clothes - socks are good. And take carry case or even pillow case to hold her safely till you get home as she will be skittish and may wriggle out of your arms.

So sweet,poor baby. Probably scared hiding,leave all Cupboard wardrobe doors open,ask neighbours to check all locked garages sheds cellars.have read that by putting our dome of your worn clothes they might find there way home by scent. Post on all local web sites too . Sharing🤞🏻

Also leave door ajar if it is safe to do so as sometimes they will return themselves… make up little flyers and put them in peoples mailboxes to check their sheds as some people don’t have social media 🤞🤞

Call all local Vets also animal rescues and RSPCA as well as any local pet stores. Make sure that your animals are desexed and microchipped and all of your details are up to date. You can update your pets microchip details online or by phone with their particular microchip company or at any Vet clinic. Check your whole home and yard firstly. Some people put out fresh sardines, warm roast chicken meat or whatever is the cats or dogs favourite food is and you could also put out some catnip out for cats as well. The smells of their favourite foods could very well lure them out of hiding or back home if nearby. Door knock the area and the neighbourhood where they went missing and put out flyers. If you've just moved areas, when your pet went missing, you may well have to also check your old neighbourhood as well in case they've tried to return there. Ask neighbours and people in your immediate area to check their security cameras for any sightings of your pet. If you are worried your pet may have been stolen dont delay in making a Police report. Post on other lost pet pages and all local community pages as well. Actively keep looking for your pet daily. Go to the RSPCA holding facilities in person to make certain your pet is not there as they do not hold them for very long before rehoming.
