Sharing šŸ™šŸ»šŸ™šŸ». Please don’t give to anyone without proof of ownership. Too many cruel people who hurt animals 😄.can you take to see if chipped? Notify shelters to let them know in case someone is looking for him. šŸ™šŸ»šŸ™šŸ»šŸ’•

The rightful owner shouldn’t ask you questions about the found pet. They should tell you about their lost pet so that you can determine if it’s a match. Don’t reveal Pet’s gender, collar of color or any markings. The owner should send photos of the pet to you and give you their pet’s name. Then see if pet responds to that name. They should also have vet records. Hopefully pet is microchipped too.

Thank you for keeping this pet safe and ensuring that anyone who claims to be the owner IS in fact the rightful owner. Getting pet scanned for microchip is free many places, such as your vet’s office, petco, petsmart, animal shelter and many fire stations. Also please contact the local animal shelter and report this pet as found. Pet’s family should call there or go there looking for their fur baby. You can foster the pet at your home, the pet doesn’t have to stay at the shelter but they should know you found him/her. The shelter can also scan for a microchip.
