The method is simple: at nightfall call in a very high and intelligible voice, every quarter of an hour or twenty minutes, for a full 5 minutes, and do this every half hour minimum, for a minimum of 3 hours in total, and at minimum call your cat 6 times a night, more if you wish.

4 Here are some other tips:
Leave some dirty clothes out for the smell to guide kitty home. Smear some wet cat food or tuna close to door from which kitty ran away. Put up posters with picture as a neighbour could have him/her. Knock on neighbours' doors to ask. Check under their decks, sheds, in bushes, under cars. Walk around with flashlight at night shaking treat bag and calling cat's name. Usually they don't go far, are scared, quiet, and hiding. Best of luck! I hope your kitty comes home soon.
