Canelo is Missing in San Jose, CA

Description

Golden Labrador with Honey/Brown eyes, a small white strip of fur on his chest, some patches of his lighter coat color on his shoulders and neck area, and Golden color on his ears and nose area. He has missing hair on his arms and legs, tick/flea collar on, is thinner than his normal weight, a nervous car rider, pulls on the leash, and has a food allergy/sensitivity to a specific grain in some dog food (can’t recall the grain).

Message from Owner

This beautiful, lovely guy isn’t mine, it’s my extended family’s. Apparently, from the information that was shared with me, he ran away in the beginning of July. I’ve been trying to find him from the minute I found out, since this past week, July 20th (they didn’t ask me to do this). I searched the lost/found pet dog pages of City of San Jose Animal Care Center, Santa Clara County Animal Shelter, and Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority. I also made a post on Nextdoor explaining the unfortunate situation, expressing how I’m trying to find him. The community gave me great suggestions, one was to use PETCOs Love Lost page, and that’s how I might’ve found him. I may have found him through a non-profit organization helping stray/abandoned/abused animals find lovable permanent homes, and I’m not 100% it’s him, though it seems likely so (I’m about 90% sure). The goal is to make sure he’s okay & safe, help him get adopted, and/or adopt him myself. NOTE: There is another lovely pet dog that looks similar to him at Stockton Animal Shelter named Drake, I don’t believe it’s him though. ***THE IMAGE IS NOT RECENT - 4 YEARS OLD.
