I'm sorry it's a horrible description of where she was last seen. 😔 I'm sorry I wasn't more vigilant. 😔 She was last seen in the couch when I went to bed, and after 3 months of Not using it, she went out the cat door, which leads to our back yard. In the back: woods, neighbor dog yard across a small pond, fences and various stands of ferns and low brush in the side yard, an old dock in back by the pond, another broken dock, shady trees, a chicken coop and chicken run with no chickens. In front: a fairly thick hedge row on both sides on the driveway and across the street, a feeding station for stray cats. The back and front are separated by a fence and a gate. Confirmed animal life in the area: raccoons, opossum, owls, hawks, turtles, other cats, at least on dog off a leash. Unconfirmed: coyotes, snapping turtles and other things I am sure I haven't thought of. She would have gone through the cat door, got down to the back patio, and then.....? Beeline to say hi to the dogs? Mind now, she's partly deaf and losing her sight. Maybe she found the plank line on one side of the property and went along it to try to orient herself. Maybe she went around on the other side of the house. Maybe she trotted to the front of the house, right down the driveway. Did she go right? Did she go left? I wouldn't be surprised if she were mistaken for an opossum, she is so low to the ground and fluffy. Did she plop out of the cat door and trot down the steps, only to be swept up by a predator to be eaten at another location? Was she attacked by a feral cat? Scared off by something else? There was no fur, no blood, no trace, no sign that she was here or what happened to her. I put out food, left clothing and bedding around the outside of the house, looked in the woods, the surrounding neighborhood, talked to neighbors, put out flyers, posted here and on facebook, pawboost, petradar.com. I am unable to pinpoint where she last was or where she ended up, and yes, I have regrets, but I do not know more than this. And, just for the icing on the cake, her vet closed down in January, the chip company went out of business, and when I checked pawboost after registering her chip again, the information that came up was for a dog and another address. I don't know how you would feel, but I think it seems like a case for SOoL over here on Coleman( which is a narrow street with only a couple turns and No Outlet, but it runs to a small development just around the corner.) Thoughts, prayer, sightings, assistance greatly appreciated.

Some cats will wonder off exploring for a few days then show back up at home… often times bringing a gift for their master.., like a dead rat or bird or lizard… that’s one of the ways they show their love and affection and appreciation for their loved one! ❣️

Note to cat owners: your cat is more likely to escape when you move. They want to go "home". You need to be extra vigilant the first few months.
