Description

Jack is a fairly large black and brown rosetted Bengal Cat. He is extremely friendly with people and can be with other cats and most dogs as well.

Message from Owner

Jack is an indoor/outdoor cat, he’s one of those Bengals that can’t be contained indoors. Trust me, I have tried. Jack escapes every enclosure I’ve had built for him. He just seems to need to roam and hunt. He brings me many treasures all year long. I keep telling him that I’d prefer jewelry but he seems to think a dead rat would be the most amazing gift to bring home to me. Although neutered young, he sprays. His best friend, my German Shepherd Loki, seems to understand Jack is missing and has become somewhat morose. I’m so sad without him as well. If anyone has seen him, please let me know.

Get your flyers up! Do not rely on social media alone, most of my missing animals come home, because of physical flyers! I do 8X11 in the immediate area 4 per block, the bigger the area 3 per block and so on. I've had the most success with the 4 per page mini handouts of the same flyer. I will give these to the Mailman, UPS, Fedex, Garbage man, Gas stations, Grocery stores. Also fluorescent backgrounds at major intersections 8X11 or bigger. Also law enforcement and animal control. More than likely, it's not going to be your eyeballs. That bring your pet home. Also not everybody has social media. So we need as much help as we can get from the community. So make it easy for them to get a hold of you. and remember the harder you work, the luckier you get! I hope these suggestions help you get your animal home soon and safe. 😉

Please check: --Nearby storm drains and sewer pipes. --Vehicle engines and tire wells. --Attics, closets, and bats. --Garages and sheds. --Bushes and trees. --Under buildings and porches. --Search at dusk and dawn when it's quiet. Using a flashlight may help. --Put out old clothes so the cat may pick up a familiar scent. Good luck.

Look under all bushes and in between houses. Ask your neighbors to check cameras garage, shed backyard. Post on nextdoor, get family & friends to search every day. Search at midnight-5am too call for ur kitten, listen for her meow

TIPS TO HELP FIND LOST PET: ✅Place his/her bedding, your shoes, a piece of your unwashed clothing (such as a sweatshirt, blanket, pillowcases) and food/water outside *if there is coyotes in the area bring the food in at night*. 🚫Do not put litter box outside. Putting the litter box outside can attract predators and other cats which might keep your cat from returning home🚫 *Putting out the other items listed above, are scents only your cat will recognize* ‼️ They might be nearby and can’t figure out how to get inside ***IF you have a garage or door/sliding door that can be left open*** Leave the garage/ or door cracked for them and place the shoes, bedding, and unwashed clothing in the garage‼️ ‼️Setting a trap on your porch, in garage or backyard is also a good idea. Many cats go into survival mode when out of their element and scared and may not come to you on their own. Most skittish cats will hunker down and stay nearby so a trap is very helpful as well. ✅Walk around the area calling them calmly early morning and late evening when it’s quiet & shake a bag of treats(if they like treats), or can of tuna etc. ✅If he/she is microchipped contact the microchip company to report him/her lost and make sure your contact info is up to date. ✅Hang flyers (use a bright colored board or paper) with picture in your neighborhood, surrounding areas, local shopping centers, businesses, vet's offices, groomers, etc. within a five mile radius from your home. ✅Go door to door with the flyers as well and try to speak with people when handing out flyers. ✅Make a sign with his/her picture and put it in your front yard stating he/she is missing. ✅File a lost report with the shelters in your area and surrounding area shelters ✅If checking shelters in person, ask to see the animals in isolation too. ✅Check shelter websites daily (as it is updated hourly) ✅Check shelter found reports for found postings but not at the shelter. ✅Take a flyer to the shelters. ✅File online with petharbor, pawboost ✅Post on area lost and found pet and community Facebook pages, area shelter Facebook pages, Nextdoor, newspapers and Craigslist under "pets" and "Lost and Found”
