Put out something that she's familiar with that carries her scent (a bed, a blanket but NOT a litterbox). CALL FOR HER IN THE QUIET, STILL HOURS (11pm-7am). THIS IS SO IMPORTANT (5am seems to be the luckiest hour)!!!!!!! Scared cats move around while the rest of the world is still. Put out food in intervals (not at night) when you can keep an eye out. Talk to your neighbors, generally, they don't go far and find an open garage or shed to huddle down. If these suggestions don’t work: lost pet cats may not respond the way you’d expect your beloved kitty to and they may not just come to your calling so be prepared to have to use a humane trap (she will return to herself once she’s back inside) and put signs in your local pet store (if someone takes her in they will need litter and food). I hope you find her 🍀

Cats that get outside don't usually go far. She's probably scared and hiding/seeking shelter nearby. Keep checking under nearby porches, decks, shrubs and in garages and sheds. Best times to search and call for her are dusk and dawn. Shake her treat bag while calling her name. Put her food, water, canned tuna/fishy canned cat food and something with her scent on it outside your door to help her find her way back. Let your neighbors and mail carrier know that she's missing so they can be on the lookout for her. Put flyers up in the area and around the nearby apartment complex. Let the manager at Michael's know and give them a flyer. Post on Sylvania/Toledo Lost and Found Pet page to get the word out. Since she's skittish, you may want to try setting a humane trap to catch her. It's how I got my lost cat back because he became so fearful when he got outside. I believe you can borrow a trap from Humane Ohio on Alexis Road. Sharing and praying for sweet Ella to be safe and home very soon.
