Laís Jeanne I hate to say this, but some people don't want the responsibility of a dog and turn him loose!! I hope not, but please don't let him go unless they will keep the dog until it passes!! It would be a shame if they took the dog to the pound!!! Let me know please!!

I saw a post, don't remember when, about a chihuahua this color, that was lost and I can't remember if it was his home he escaped from or they were somewhere else!! You may want to try Pawboost, LOST AND FOUND HIGH POINT, NC and some that have just the person's name!! Put up posters w/ph.no./email 1 to 5 mile radius, ask anyone if they know the owner, give them a poster, put the posters near the roadway and businesses so people can see them!! Email All VETS a poster w/ph.no./email, ask them if they know the owner, is he microchipped and regsitered?? Put a sign in your yard and on the street corner, FOUND LOST DOG, get Proof of Ownership!! Check Pawboost, Pawboost Community, Next Door, X, & 24petconnect periodically, you can also put him online with Next Door, X, & 24petconect because some people don't come online FB!! There are LOST AND FOUNDS HIGH POINT, NC online and some that have just the person's name!! If you decide you do not want the dog, PLEASE give him to someone you know well, a NO- SHELTER, SPCA (not ASPCA) or other organizations (except PETA), HUMANE SOCIETY, PLEASE do not give to the pound, pounds have moved up their days of euthanasia!!!!

You are SUCH an angel, Love. thank you thank you thank you🥰 Any vet’s office will scan for microchip for free. 🐾 Not everyone is looking for their lost pets online, so it’s important to TALK to neighbors in the area. 🐾Check pawboost for LOST pets. LIST on pawboost 🐾Contact shelter with description and location: may be first place family is looking. 🐾Posting "found dog" on a simple cardboard, along with your phone number, posted close can be extremely helpful. Have any caller identify dog FIRST (specific markings, photos, vet records) Though most people are good, some will claim free pets for dog fighting bait 🤬or other unkind reasons. 🥹💖THANK YOU for caring enough to Act and help make our community a safe and caring place for everyone, especially these vulnerable animals, who rely on humans for their care 💗 Please let me know if I can help you in any way !!

Thank you for helping. Below are some tips: ✅ Please check for a microchip. It's free to check with any vet, the emergency vet is open 24/7. Also free with PetSmart and animal control when they are open. Be sure he is securely leashed so he doesn't get away at chip check location. ✅ The Nextdoor app is a helpful resource as well for lost/found pets. ✅ Check with neighbors at pickup location. May belong to someone who is not online. ✅ Please keep special identifying details to a minimum (special markings, collar colors/details so anyone who wants to claim will have to identify by those. 🚨Also require proof of ownership from anyone trying to claim (vet papers, old photos etc). ✅ Report to animal control and the shelter in case the owner calls or goes there looking for their pet. ✅ Please give the required 72 hours for the owners to try and find before rehoming (not recommended due to blindness, find disability rescue if able). ✅ Check vet references and charge a rehoming fee to anyone looking to adopt so the pet doesn't end up in a bad place. Hope the rightful owner is found soon 🙏
