If you lost a pet: Visit Lexington-FayetteAnimal Care & Control or your local animal control in person every other day, strays can be adopted out after 3 days for cats, 5 days for dogs. Put flyers everywhere. Please check nearby storm drains and sewer pipes, vehicle engines and tire wells, plus attics and bats, garages and sheds, bushes and trees, and under buildings and porches. Good luck.

Please be cautious about putting used cat litter outside, since that can attract coyotes and other predators.
