We put posters on the local school fence and a little infant boy said to his mum - that's the cat living in the garage. Leilah is probably enjoying the sunshine and fending for herself. Sometimes cats that have experienced the wild can 'disappear' for days/weeks and then return home when it pleases them. Cats are so independent especially those that know how to look after themselves. 😺 🐈

Shirley Cooksley Thank you, that’s wonderful. Did they find your number from a post on social media or a poster? I’m hoping the same is true of Leilah. When we adopted her she was a rescue cat and had been found living under a hedge so she does have some experience of living rough, I hope this helps her although she’s a bit older now. All the experiences of people whose cats survive and in harsh conditions like Brandy do support the fact they have this incredible resilience ❤️

Pam Newman Don't give up hope, we had a cat missing for 2 months. It was during heavy snow and she couldn't find her way back. A lovely person contacted us to say they discovered our 12 year old cat was living in their garage and had been living off scraps and hunting. She had crossed the A38 which was covered in snow at the time. Cats are resilient and their wild instinct kicks in. Even a house cat will survive, that's why they are so difficult to train. Cats are very intelligent and survive in troubled times. Brandy lived for 14 years before nature took her. Don't give up hope.
