Is she spayed? Is she microchipped? Wearing a collar, since she goes outside.

Thank you for the advice! My post was actually through PawBoost I think, but I didn't know, that's why there's not much info. I really appreciate all your help, but after 5 days, I don't think she'll turn up. But I'm not giving up!

These are general search tips and not all may apply in your situation. Search at night w/ a flashlight (eyes will glow). Check up in trees and inside/under things in your yard and up to 4 - 5 houses away. Search garages, sheds, under decks and bushes, in crawl spaces, behind AC units - any place the cat might be trapped or hiding. Many cats go into hiding mode for safety and won't come when they hear their owner's voice but try calling and try either shaking a can/bag of treats or carrying an open (smelly) can of cat food or fish. Put something w/ the cat's scent on the porch (cat bed, scratching post, sofa pillows). Keep your garage door up enough to allow entry. Keep fresh bowls of water out. Put up large missing cat posters (neon poster board works well), talk to neighbors (leave info for those not home), post on all local social media groups and make sure to check with local animal control at least once a week (better to go in person but at least call and send them a photo). If not found at night with a flashlight, go out during early morning, before dawn, as many cats are active around that time. If not found in a few days, you can always buy a humane cat trap but traps *must* be checked multiple times each day, every day. If the cat is microchipped, please make sure the chip company has your updated contact information. And even if the cat has a chip, you still need to check with animal control as chips sometimes are overlooked or migrate down. Please search often and don't give up hope. If in an apartment or condo, please make sure the apartment manager and maintenance team are aware the cat is missing. You can also put a missing cat poster on the inside back glass of your car so others can see it from the parking lot.

Sorry your beautiful kitty is missing. Is she microchipped? Is she indoor-only? Is she wearing a collar with identifying information? Be sure to post on all local lost pet sites including Skippy Lou's and West Nashville and Bellevue Lost and Found Pets. Be sure to include that she is indoor-only. Put flyers up in the neighborhood--not everyone checks social media. Let local vets and shelters know. Make sure she is not trapped somewhere in the house. From my experience, when indoor cats get outside, they usually do not go far. Look VERY nearby: in trees, in bushes, under cars, under porches, under decks, and in your neighbor's yards. Ask your neighbors to be on the lookout for her and to check their crawlspaces, garages, and sheds. Cats sometimes get trapped there. Shake her treats or call her like you do when you feed her. Place your clothing outside so she can follow the scent. Know that she is probably scared and may not respond to your voice or you calling her name. When our indoor cat got out, we unknowingly walked by him several times while calling his name. He stayed hidden in the bushes because he was so scared. Bring an open container of tuna when you are looking. Use a flashlight when looking for her to catch her eye reflections. I am praying that she gets home immediately.
