Marlene Rhodus Sellers thanks for all the tips. He is home safe now if you hadn't seen the update. I appreciate all the tips & already did most of what you said but at the end what you said was honestly unnecessary about never letting him out alone without you knowing exactly what happened. We are responsible pet owners. I know not everyone is but know the circumstances before assuming someone let their pet out alone please.

Mary Gibilisco I believe every beautiful story begins with a simple “Hi.” So, here I am… Hi! 😊 When you have a moment, text me back—I have one very important question I’d love to ask you.

Notify Nebraska Humane Society right away 402-444 -7800. Ext 1 Post on Lost Pets of Omaha Area for more readers and services. Hopefully, pup is microchipped and has well-fitting collar with ID and neutered. Put owner’s dirty clothes in yard and in garage with water and bed. Leave door open enough he can get in. Search in, under, behind every possible place he could be hiding, stuck, or hurt. Ask neighbors to open sheds and garages so you can check inside. Also ask permission to search their yards…window wells, decks, bushes, vehicles parked in drives and streets, house drainpipes (gutters), crawl spaces under buildings, empty containers, boxes, weedy wooded areas, flower beds, etc. After dark search with flashlights so you see eyes shine. Pup will be more likely to come out at night. Walk area pup was lost with water and favorite food/treat or try chix nuggets, burgers, hotdogs. Call his name in calm, friendly voice as you search. Once found, please NEVER let him out alone. Always go out with him.
