Put her bed that she sleeps on at home inside the carrier, along with unwashed socks and clothes that you’ve worn (having the owner’s scent is very effective). Later, the cat appeared next to the trap or carrier! The main idea is to use familiar smells to attract her back. You can also put her favorite treats inside. And also—put out her used litter box! It’s extremely effective! 😔 Don’t worry about whether she actually goes into the carrier! Even if she doesn’t go inside, she may stay next to it because of the familiar scent!!! She’ll know that a familiar smell is looking for her. Since everything outside is unfamiliar, she’ll move toward the place that smells familiar. If you don’t want to use a carrier, that’s okay—you can replace it with things from home that carry her scent. For example, her cat bed, her favorite toys on top of it, plus your unwashed clothes and socks that have your scent.
