Animal friends. On July 4th at 1:00pm my cat got scared and disappeared from my yard. She is 6 1/2 years old, a calico ( white with black and tan markings. She is very skittish and is scared of most people.I feel so helpless and so sad. If you see here please contact me. Her name is Mia

So sorry your kitty is missing 😰 You must actively look for your kitty. By now I’m sure you regret having her outside on the 4th … or at all. Please go out late at night or very early in the morning when there are very few cars and people out. Sit on your front or back stairs, wherever she’s more familiar and talk in a normal conversation voice, think low cell phone conversation. Do this for at least an hour if not longer, morning and night until found. If she likes treats and knows the sound of a treat bag do that also or any sound that she gets excited about. If she’s scared and hiding, this may be the encouragement needed to come out. Cats can hide for days. Also go to catsinthebag.org for many other helpful tips on how to find her. Good luck.
