Flyers are very important. They are best put in an upside down zip gallon bag to help protect from the elements. It was just a few weeks ago that both the dog and cat were reunited by Flyers alone because the finder did not have social media and only saw a flyer .If your dog came from a rescue, they usually like to know ASAP that a former animal is missing. If you have a microchip, it's good to make sure your contact information is up to date so you can be contacted. If your dog is found. It's a good idea to personally go in and check animal control on a daily basis and show them a picture of your dog and also check with local rescues and shelters. It sometimes helps if you also post on ring Neighbors app or such to alert your neighbors of your lost dog. The app I have covers a 3 to 5 mile radius of my home and you could ask people to please check their cameras so you might have an idea which way your dog was going. You also might want to leave a worn piece of clothing on your porch with someone scent in your house in case your job comes close back to home that he would help attract.
