DESCRIPTION

Tip of tail is a large block of black, very dense & dark forehead stripes. Not a good picture unfortunately. Very friendly and playful came right up to us when we offered food. Pretty sure it's a girl but could be mistaken. Looks to be kitten age, maybe around 6 months or it's just tiny. All paws are greyish tan. Such a sweetheart and is super affectionate, loved catnip.

Thank you for taking care of this poor kitty. Since she allows you to handle her, take her to the vet as soon as possible to be scanned for a microchip. The service is free and it there is always a chance that she has one. If you have not already done so, put up flyers in the area with the cat’s photo and your contact information on it. Also, since the cat is friendly, it is worthwhile to show her photo at all of the veterinary clinics in the area. If she is a lost neighborhood pet, he could have been a patient at one of these facilities and a staff member may recognize her and be able to help you contact her family. Contact area animal shelters and rescue organizations to see if anybody has called them looking for a cat that resembles the one you found. Leave your number with all of the organizations that you reach so that they can share it or call you if somebody does come forward looking for a cat like this. When somebody does come to claim the cat, make sure that they can prove ownership. Ask them to identify specific characteristics, such as unusual markings, play or eating habits, the way that the cat prefers to be petted, or the particular sound of his purrs and cries. You want to make sure that she goes back to her real home. It appears that you are keeping this kitty inside while you conduct your search. That is wonderful. It will keep her safe from outdoor dangers and ensure that he does not wander away before you have found where she belongs. If, after all of your best efforts, you are unable to locate this kitty’s owner, please surrender her to a no kill shelter. That way she will have a chance to find a new home. Meanwhile, thank you again for keeping this kitty safe and cared for.

My husband commented above but I believe this is our cat. How would we go about getting her back. We have a child with special needs who is very attached to her.
