Message from Owner

My baby girl Legend is a shy, sweet kitty. She was last seen running across our small street to the other hses which is completely unlike her. She is scared of a neighbor cat who has been trolling her and her brother (& even jumped inside one of our windows to get at my babies!) We think it is likely she was spooked and took off. She is likely hiding nearby in a grge or crawl space. Please help find my little angel -- thank you!

Sprinkle her used litter around the outside of your house. Call her late at night in your area. Take an opened canned food and tap it with a s.

Charlotte Naomi Marquardt Thank you for all these wonderful suggestions! I know Landa from Lost Pet Detection -- she helped me bring home a little escape artist back in 2017. She is an angel <3

I am so sorry. Get posters out in a two block radius. MAKE SURE YOU OFFER A REWARD IN BIG RED LETTERS. ITS INCENTIVE FOR PEOPLE TO PAY ATTENTION. EXPECT SPAM CALLS. People are jerks but the good people will pay attention! Let your mailman/woman know and provide them with a poster. Set a humane trap in front of the front door in the later night while you’re still awake. Use mackerel and a trail of the oil to lure her. You can expect your kitty to be most active at night so you can also leave your door open in the evenings. You would be surprised at how many cats find their way back home but cannot get back inside. If you have a bed or item of theirs with their scent on it, put it be the front door. Cats communicate through Scent. This could be a bed or scratching post. And if you can, set up a Ring camera or ask neighbors that are close by to check their camera footage. They are more than likely close by but is hiding. Lastly, if you have the funds, contact Landa the Pet Detective. If you can afford her, do so immediately. Her hounds will track your cat’s scent. And make sure if you have your pet microchipped that the info is up to date. Alert the microchip company that your pet is missing. ⚠️ IMPORTANT info for anyone who’s lost or found a pet in the LA or Riverside areas! PetcoLoveLost.org, the largest national lost-and-found pet database (and the only one using image matching technology) is working with 20+ LA shelters to reunite lost and found pets. If you share about a pet, make sure you also file a report on PetcoLoveLost.org! It’s 100% free, it’s private, and it will instantly find your pet if they’re at ANY shelter in Southern California. And not just pets in shelters; thousands and thousands of privately-reported lost and found pets, as well as pets posted on Nextdoor, Pawboost, Neighbors and Ring! Together, we’ll keep our shelters empty and get pets back home where they belong! Feel free to reach out to our team on our new L.A. area community page Lost Pets Los Angeles - Petco Love Lost Community if you have any questions.
