Yes please please verify anyone claiming to be the owner with vet records etc. There are some bad people out there and as you know horribly dogfighting still goes on around here and they troll these sites looking for bait dogs. This is a beautiful smart loyal sweetheart. You could try a rescue. Carolina coon hound rescue might be an option

Shared! Search the lost section of pawboost. Vets can scan for chip. Send this photo to local rescues and the shelter so they are aware in case owners looking. WHATEVER you do get hard proof of ownership and veterinary references for any fosters or adopters and CALL them as people search these sites for bait dogs and backyard breeding. Send women and kids to get them to not raise red flags.
