Rylan Lawlor i don’t recommend food unless in a trap. It can attract predators. Having trail cameras are good. She is not likely to move during daytime. But she still may make her way home on her own in the dead of the night. Leave food just inside door she escaped from. Follow advice from pawboost. Do not contact anyone posting you to DM them about a drone service etc. discuss with local Animal control officer. Ask your vet or a local shelter for help. I hope your kitty is hone soon

Aileen Maconi I'm just so worried because when she escaped I instinctively chased after her and I'm afraid that I chased her further into the woods and disoriented her. I've put out food and water along with a carrier with my worn sweatshirt in it. We also have a camera facing the door, the carrier, and the food + water.

There is a good chance your kitty knows and remembers where they got out. If you can, leave that door or window open. Typically when it is quiet (like late at night, a cat will come out and try to get back in. But they are super sensitive so if you see them, do not call out or even make eye contact. No sudden moves. They will Spook. When my cat got out, I kept the door open and put his food inside the door. I put a towel with his sent just outside but not obstructing his path. Then I went into the next room to wait. Once an hour I stood just outside and called his name shaking his treats. He came in on his own. Do all the steps - i hope your kitty makes it home safely.

Put your clothes outside as a scent. Have neighbors check cellars sheds garages and vehicles. They get trapped. Look under porches and sheds etc. Have a Heart trap with tuna. Cover trap with blanket and watch trap. Look at night often with flashlight. Check attics drawers and in trees 🌲. Culverts. Flyers everywhere. Check town authorities and vets. Look at lost and found pet sites shelters in case brought in. Craigslist too. Get kids you know to help look. Check behind walls and insulation. Abandoned buildings. Leave the door open for cat or window.
