My wife is heartbroken by the disappearance of Albert! He’s one of the descendants of a cat she lost to a dog attack last year and just wants to bring him !

Beverly Fahema DuPuy Ernest Here in Clemson, people are also seeing them out during the day. Some people think getting their cats in at night makes outdoors safe. It doesn't. Everyone I know who has lost a cat to a coyote lost it during daylight hours.

Sheri son I've seen them on the USC-Columbia campus in broad daylight 😞

I see that you said he was unneutered. Unneutered males will travel miles if they pick up the scent of a female. That's why so many end up hit on busy roads. You will need to expand your search because he could be quite far from home. Sometimes, of course, they do manage to find their way back home. If he does, please get him fixed.

Raymond Smith I'm not sure why he's not neutered (or microchipped) yet, but male cats can reach s3xual maturity by 6 months of age. Unneutered tomcats can travel up to 5 miles for a female in heat, encountering many dangers - cars, dogs, coyotes, hawks, owls, mean people, and other unneutered tomcats who will fight them (sometimes to the d3ath) for a female in heat. 😞 Ideally, cats should be fixed by 5 months of age (females can go into heat as young as 3.5 months old). If you haven't already, put up flyers everywhere as many people aren't on social media. Since he's not microchipped, give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area in case he turns up. Since he's not neutered, ask all of them about any local TNR groups and community cat feeders, and give them flyers too, in case he turns up at a colony somewhere looking for a girlfriend. Ask your neighbors to check their cameras, garages, sheds, and crawlspaces. Ask them if they had any visitors or contractors doing work on their houses around the time he went missing. If so, call the visitors and businesses and ask them if they had an accidental stowaway. When he comes home, please keep him contained and get him neutered and microchipped ASAP. Be sure to register the chip online. Good luck. ❤

Is he neutered? Microchipped? Indoor only, or indoor/outdoor?
