Message from Owner

Ali (named after Muhammad Ali the USA boxing champ) showed up several years ago as a stray with scratches at my elderly Moms hse. He would come visit, eat, then leave. Slowly, over the years, he began to build trust with us, and his visits have become longer. We recently have been able to feed him inside,with my Moms other cats. I still cannot pick him up, but he will rub against my leg. He sometimes will let you pet his head. Ali is a sweetheart. Ali likes to follow my elderly Mom with her walker on outdoor walks. In the past, he has taken off before for couple days, but most recently earlier this month, he was gone for four days. He returned with scratches on the right side of his head and ear. Our goal has always been to have him neutered, and to give him his fur ever . He has been missing for a week this time, and we have become very fond of him, we really want him back . Please help.

I swear I saw this cat on the nexdoor app this morning. Someone was asking if it was someone’s cat. I’m going to look for it but get on nextdoor and see what you can find

Not being neutered, he's probably out looking for a girlfriend 😩 People think that they have to be able to touch or pick up community cats in order to get them fixed - wrong! You set a trap and they go in it and you take them to the clinic. Unneutered tomcats will travel up to 5 miles for a female in heat 😞 If you haven't already, put up flyers everywhere as many people aren't on social media. Since he's not microchipped, give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area in case he turns up. Since he's not neutered, ask all of them about any local TNR groups and community cat feeders, and give them flyers too, in case he turns up at a colony somewhere looking for a girlfriend. Ask your neighbors to check their cameras, garages, sheds, and crawlspaces. Ask them if they had any visitors or contractors doing work on their houses around the time he went missing. If so, call the visitors and businesses and ask them if they had an accidental stowaway. If he comes when he's called or hears your voices, then walk the neighborhood in the wee hours with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. Call him in a regular voice (not panicked) and gently shake a treat bag if he likes that kind of stuff. If he's injured or scared, he's probably hunkered down and hiding. He may not answer you when you call, but that's just instinctual as a vocal cat gives away their location to predators, and an injured cat is prey. When he comes home, borrow or buy a humane trap, trap him, and get him neutered and microchipped. Be sure to register the chip online. Good luck ❤

I hate to tell you this, but cats rarely get lost! If they disappear, usually something happened to them;
