We just want our teddy bear back please help

DESCRIPTION

Teddy got out of our house he squeezed through a window January 2nd in Phoenix az around 41st and McDowell. We were able to find the people who found him. They took him all the way to Mesa. (Older couple) But they didn’t want to give him back unless we gave them $200 because he damaged a rug. I told them that’s fine I just want my dog , asked them for their address they said no asked then to do the a meet up somewhere and they denied. Not giving any information,So how am I supposed to get my teddy back. I told them I would call the police, after saying that, they changed the story to “we don’t have the dog, someone else has him” we were able to find out where they live , when we got there the couple had called their oldest daughter to say that they didn’t have the dog anymore, her sister had it and it ran away from her during the 30 minute time frame it took us to get to Mesa. I just want my teddy please anyone sees anything or knows please be in touch

Julie Davis I feel the older couple never wanted to give him back, they just wanted the $200 they didn’t want to give me address or meet up anywhere, for me to pick him up just kept saying we want the 200, the 200 but didn’t comply when I said yes I just want the dog.

Sounds like they stole the dog and gifted it to their daughter. I would still contact the police and share and share the communication you had with these people.
