She likes to go outside, but in 10+ years she has never been gone for more than 48 hours. Camera’s have not caught her either and she knows how to intentionally trigger the them (she figured out that it brings us to let her in) She is not particularly affectionate and mostly prefers to be outside, so while possible, she is most likely not inside anyone’s home. Any information, good or bad would be appreciated. She is chipped and I recently checked all my animals to ensure chips had not migrated so I know hers is in place.

Please file a missing cat report with the Virginia Beach animal shelter. If the cat is chipped, please make sure the registry has your current contact information. Visit the shelter several times a week to see if she has been turned in. Tonight after 10 PM, go out of your yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight. Walk around your yard calling your cats name is shaking the kitty treats bag. Use the flashlight to look in the bushes to see if you see your cat hiding. House cats normally don’t stream more than 5 to 7 houses from their own. Put flowers with your cats picture and your contact information and take them around to your neighbors. Ask them to call you if they see your cat. Ask them also if they’ve been in their shed out building a garage recently since your cat was missing. Cats will go in those places to hide. When the owner shuts the door, the cat cannot get out and you cannot hear a cat crying to get out unless you’re standing right next to the shed or building.
