Message from Owner

This is my Lucipurr, we move to Salem, Alabama in 4 days and he has been missing for 7. We waited to post because outside babies like to explore sometimes, but itโ€™s been too long and we are worried something has happened to him. My biggest fear is us moving and him not being able to find his way back to us ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ’” If you have seen Lu off of double churches road area, please let me know. Thank you so much. Ashley Litchfield

Not familiar with a neighborhood called The Highlands, where is that? I know East Highland, and North Highland neighborhoods. Hope that baby gets home soon!

Praying for a safe return. Hopefully some of these suggestions will help. Some of these may not apply: First make sure your cat is not hiding in the house. Check everywhere, closets, drawers, in your bed's box springs. Check during dark hours with a flashlight so the eyes will shine back even if he/she is scared to come out of hiding. Look up trees, under bushes, in large drainage ditches, anywhere a cat might hide and they can squeeze into small area. Shake a treat bag. Try saying "psst psst". Don't put the litterbox out because that could attract other cats that might attack your cat. Do create a place with your recently worn clothing outside as well with water. You want him/her hungry so don't put food out for 24-48 hrs (so he will come home, show where he is hiding, or be hungry enough to go into a trap for food) unless you have seen your cat and set up a trap. Look under houses and ask neighbors to please let you check garages or sheds encase accidently got locked up inside. Put a flyer in your yard encase someone who has your cat drives by, on your mailbox to see if mailman has seen your cat. Best of luck; sharing. Walk the neighborhood and look for outside dishes (cat caregiver) and ask if they have seen your cat. Sit outside after the neighborhood gets quiet and listen for him/her to meow, call softly or shake the dry food container. Call or email your local Animal Control with your info also. For closure, you can also ask AC to check if a deceased cat has been picked up from your street. If your cat has a microchip, call the company and make sure your info is up-to-date. Best wishes for a quick reunion. Sharing to my page and several groups.

Place something outside that has your scent and their scent on it. NO LITTER BOX!! I, from experience, have found that they will not travel too far from home. I ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป for a safe return soon! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ
