Abuelita Micky I am Also careful with appliances. I volunteered almost 30 years and I heard many horror stories including one that a lady was looking for her cat and she later realized when her washer was done that the cat was in it and of course it was dead 😥 some people think it's cute when they take a picture of their cat in the dishwasher or dryer etc. And it actually makes me cringe. Since I heard that story about the cat every time I use my washer, I think of that cat many years later. There's not a time that goes by that I don't think about how horrible that can be. I don't turn my back on any appliance. If I need to walk away I make sure I close the door before I do so. Over 25 years ago when I was volunteering some fosters I went to the store very late at night almost midnight which is very unusual and the first time I did that in my life. After I emptied my groceries I turned around and was ready to go to bed and I heard scratching and I realized one of my fosters jumped inside the refrigerator door and it would have been a horrible site by morning. But thank goodness I heard it And got the kitten out and no longer turn my back on any appliance for a second. I watched the door close to ensure no cats jump in any appliance before I walk away.....

Abuelita Micky I take lots of precautions so none of my cats get out. Many people don't think about it until it happens. I've had cats and fosters for about 30 years so I am over cautious. In nice weather I only open my windows about 3 in or less and my patio door smaller than the size of my cat's head so they can't escape through a screen or window as many pets do so on a daily basis when the weather is nice. Also, when I leave my house I back out the front door and watch my cats to ensure they don't try to escape. I do the same when I go to my garage from my house and don't open the garage door until the house door is secured. I also push on the house door to make sure it's secured before I open the garage door. When I return home, I don't open the house door until the garage door is all the way down since I hear many animals escaping this route, especially on garbage day. One time my garage door blew open to the house and I realized to double check on it and push and pull it to make sure it's secured so the wind doesn't blow it open. Until someone has gone through. A lot of these experiences, many people don't think of it until it may happen. I hope this baby is safe and will soon be back to the fosters home. Good luck!

🙏❤️If lost close to home ...leave a door slightly open especially at night .... worked for our pet. Found them sleeping on the couch the next morning . Pets that are lost and scared most often will hide in underbrush tickets or shrubs close to home and feel safe to come out at night to find their way home
