Erika Wehmeyer Watson Just to let you know my cat has always been inside I was just released from the hospital due to a heart issue and when I put her in her crate it must not of been shut all the way.so I have all the guilt in.the world Please don't assume that I am irresponsible I have had her for over 10 years

When your cat comes home, please keep it inside. Most cats that go outside live short lives that end tragically due to: bad weather, cars, cat fights, loose dogs, disease/parasites, chemicals/poison, local predators of land or air, or people that don't want them on their property. Not only is it unrealistic to think you can make your cat's safety other people's concern, it's irresponsible. Knowing this and still putting it outside is no different from playing Russian roulette with their life.
