I agree (and truly hope) he is somewhere nearby. With recent thunder, he may have sought refuge in someone’s garage or outbuilding, under a porch, etc. Please ask all your neighbors to kindly check thoroughly for him, including in places he might go to get cool. Go out at dark, and call for him. Get a live trap and set smelly food out .
