Message from Owner

Cat Diamond been missing for a month now. I am very worried he never went more than a day without coming . Very well taken care of very good cat really affectionate. Diamond slept next to me every night on my pillow and when he wanted to go outside he would sit by the back door and he would meow. When Diamond came I would always go to the door open it to see if he was yet sometimes he wasn't most of the time he was there or I would hear him meow he would come inside your right to his food bowl and water bowl and wait for me to get him a can of food. If anybody has seen him or sees him please help me get done and back . I know diamond is just his heart broken and lost as I am. His name is diamond yeah I know he's a boy but when he was a baby that wasn't known yet he last was seen on Brighton Road in between Brandon and Benton. That's where diamond knows. Thanks & I appreciate any help returning my baby back ! 🙏

Definitely leave doors and garage doors cracked open as they will try to get back in.. ! Put his kibble or favorite treats inside the doors. Be home..do this in the dark hours , late night.

As a trapper please try the following ASAP! Do NOT leave trap unattended in this cold! Trap will freeze and kitty will too. Watch from window or camera. Set humane trap cage ASAP. Indoor cats don't go far. Check under porches, sheds and anywhere they can hide. Talk to neighbors also. Call shelters, humane society and kennels to see if someone dropped them off. Go look yourself too, don't just go by what they say.. they are busy too.. go out at night when it's quiet and no noise, as they are scared. Only you go, not a bunch of people. Take a bag of treats with you. Also, leave a door cracked and garage door cracked open with food inside.. just keep an eye on it, this way they can run into your house when coming home. They usually go to the door where they got out at. Put up cameras if you can. You can buy humane traps at home Depot, Lowes or there's many shelters that will lend you one. Post on all animal sites. Make sure he didn't get locked in someone's garage or shed. Set up a camera or ask neighbors if they can review their cameras.

Very important! If your cat/dog is microchipped PLEASE double check to make sure the microchip is REGISTERED and up to date with your current information and telephone number incase someone finds your cat/dog and takes it somewhere to get scanned so that they can call you. You should have the chip number in your paperwork from who IMPLANTED the chip in. You will need the BRAND of chip to be able to call them and check to see if it is REGISTERED and up to date. If you only have the number and Not the BRAND of chip you can enter it for free on this national website. When you enter the chip number in it will ONLY tell you the BRAND of chip so that you can call them and check to see if it is REGISTERED and up to date with your current information and telephone number. https://www.aaha.org/for-veterinary-professionals/microchip-search/

Buy, rent or borrow a humane trap and set it up asap. It must be monitored, kept in the shade and covered on top because of the weather. Tractor supply, Lowes, Home Depot, and Amazon sell them. Certain animal shelters will rent them out. Keep in mind you may catch a raccoon and you need to know how to release it safely

Put something with your cat's scent on it outside on the porch such as a blanket, clothes, toys etc. Sprinkle cat nip on it too if you have any

Go knocking door to door asking your neighbors within a 2-3 block radius. Hand them a flyer with a photo of your cat/dog and a telephone number to be reached at. Hang up flyers outside and protect them with a plastic sleeve from the weather.

Indoor only fixed cats will be close by hunkered down in fear. Look in bushes, under porches and decks, small spaces and sheds. If you look in the dark with a bright flashlight cat's eyes will glow when the light hits them. Wear reflective and bright clothing so cars can see you in the dark.

Indoor cats usually don't go far Is she spayed? Be sure to check with animal control and all shelters in your area to see if she was picked up, also check with rescues It's hard to tell maybe she was picked up and thought to be a stray Sadly they even run from you cuz you're scared, especially after being out this long Below is a very best way to get your precious Kitty back as soon as possible
