Getting a humane trap is very important part of finding a lost cat. The cats are typically close by but hiding and scared to come around. Set up a trap baited with smelly food outside the exit where he escaped. You can borrow a humane trap from a shelter and they will show you how to use it. Keep searching tho on foot under between behind and inside all areas around your property and your neighbors with a flashlight to reflect eyes and a treat bag to shake. But never leave a trap unattended or set up in extreme heat. Don't give up, be positive and proactive!
