Message from Owner

My dog Bacon got out of our yard at around 9:15pm on 6/29. He does not have a collar. He should respond to his name, but he can be stubborn and he is older (about 10 years old). Please let me know if you have any information as we are urgently looking for him and worried about his safety, thank you! P.S. he is generally friendly, but he will snap if he is uncomfortable, so please be aware and keep him away from children.

Notify Nebraska Humane Society. File lost report. Post on Lost Pets of Omaha Area for more readers and services. Hopefully he is microchipped. Put owner’s dirty clothes in yard and in garage with water and bed. Leave door open enough he can get in. If no garage, put items near house door he uses or in a kennel with dirty clothes and water. near house door. Change out dirty clothes often (daily) or if it rains to keep scent strong. Search in, under, behind every possible place he could be hiding, stuck or hurt. Ask neighbors if you can search their yards…sheds, garages, decks, bushes, vehicles, culverts, wooded areas, water sources, holes, construction sites,etc. After dark, search with flashlights so you are able to see his eyes shine. Walk area lost with favorite food/ treat or try chix nuggets, burgers, hotdogs. Call his name in a calm, friendly voice as you search.
