Grey & white cat with 1 white paw on her left back leg. She's 1 yrs old. Wearing a hot pink collar with diamonds (not real diamonds) studs. She's skittish & may not allow you to touch her but she can be bribed with food.

Message from Owner

I received her as a stray & my Daughter & I have raised her since she was 4 weeks old. She's 1 yrs old. She's a big part of our family & my Daughter is really torn up with her missing. She's an indoor cat. If anyone sees her & unable to catch her please let me know & I will definitely come & camp out to bring her back .

For some reason, cats tend to show back up around 2 am. Leave out some stinky wet food and crack a window so you can hear her. I’ve had several calls telling me their cat was home at 2 am. Check any bushes around your house because they like to hide out. Please keep us posted. πŸ’œπŸΎ

Call animal control or call a cat rescue see if they can loan you a animal trap. Once you get this trap get tuna and sardines mix it together put it the back of the trap. When you do leave a trail be careful how much food you leave very very little for mostly use the oil and water from the cans of tuna and sardines to trail into the trap. That smell should be enough to guide them in there. If you want to put a tiny piece or something that's fine. Over the trap put a blanket or put a towel. Next to the trap put their litter box in an article clothing that smells like you. Put a bowl of water out for them. But don't put any other food other than what's in that trap. Now most of the time a cat that's specifically not really used to being outside is going to be hiding somewhere and scared to move. Go outside and call their name. Every chance you can. Mornings, afternoons, evenings and night time. That way they know that you are looking for them. Now I had the same situation happen. I took in a cat that was skittish mainly have been outside. Jasmine was adopted by my roommate and is very skittish. She got out. I thought oh no we're never going to get her because of how skittish she was she wasn't used to us yet. 6 days is how long she was gone. I never gave up hope I was out all the time calling her name to the point where at some point I could hear her crying back but she must have been too scared to move. But after 6 days that trap is what got her because she got hungry and she came back to the house to look for food. The smells of you will help guide her back. And of course food. All I can say is do not give up hope. We still have Jasmine back she's never tried to get out again. Actually if she became much more affectionate.. she's definitely less skittish and more trusting. If you have any questions message me. But do try this it did work for us we even rescued a cat that we had been trying to get for a while with the trap as well who had a medical condition and needed help.
