Orange tabby. Suspecting it to be a male. He seems friendly, and wants inside. Won't let us approach him but hangs out in the area.

This is another photo I got of him. This cat has a distinctive very deep but loud meow.

Thank you for caring and sharing! Please follow these steps to see if the kitty has a home! 💜 1. Get the kitty checked for a microchip*. Any vet clinic, animal control office (if your county has one), and some pet stores (call first) will do this free of charge! Ingham County has a list of places with microchip scanners on their website. 💜 2. Report the kitty as found to the county animal control office (except in Eaton County - No Animal Control available and they don't take kitties). You can call your Animal Control office 24/7 and leave a message. If the kitty was found in Ingham County, Animal Control has an online form available to fill out. 💜 3. Take a couple of pictures of the kitty and post the kitty in local lost and found pet Facebook groups. Make sure you include the location where the kitty was found (cross streets and city) at the top of your post. In addition, it's suggested to also: 💜Cross post on lost and found pet groups here on FB. 💜Post on Nextdoor and Pawboost, too. Not everyone is on FB. 💜Hang "Found" posters at local businesses, vet clinics, your mailbox, and on utility poles. 💜Knock on doors. Again, not everyone is on FB. Ask neighbors to check with others in your area, too. *If you do not have the resources to take the kitty to be checked for a chip, please include that on your post in the Lost and Found FB group posts. There are people in the community who have chip scanners! They might be able to come to you and scan the kitty! Updated June 2026

This looks a lot like the cat that's missing from Riverview Estates. It might be a little far though unless someone took him and changed their mind 🤷‍♀️ Also, someone who truly cares about the animal and reuniting it with it's human/s would never try to charge you to return it. It is VERY easy to prove the cat is yours like pictures are so easy to provide.

Have the finders taken kitty in a carrier for safe travel to any Veterinarian to get checked for a microchip?
