As well as posting here you will need to get out and walk the neighbourhood to alert everyone that the cat is missing and ask them to check their yards in all hiding spots and in sheds and garages . The more neighbours that you talk to, and are actively looking around for your lost cat, the better. Ask them to keep watch on their security cameras too. Many people do not use Facebook and will not see your post so you need to walk and talk to them or they will not be aware.

When you are making posts about your cat being lost please put the name of the actual street your cat went missing from and add the nearest major intersection too.

Shared. IF you have NOT yet done all these things do them ASAP. Note that TWO days is a long time to a cat so you have no time to waste. Notify Richmond Hill Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Also notify nearby vet offices, rescues, shelters (e.g. Humane Society) and the microchip company if she's chipped. Cats will usually stay near the door they left for a day or two before wandering for food. But remember that cats are nocturnal and HIDE daytime especially when scared or injured. Leave her used litter and some food and water in hidden places near that door. Check all nearby dark, shaded areas under bushes, shrubs and trees and places where she can shelter from wind, cold/heat and rain/snow especially if she's hurt or injured. Check under decks, in window wells and dark corners of nearby porches, yards, garages, sheds and stairwells where she could be hiding or might be trapped. Thump the hoods and fenders of nearby parked cars in case she's hiding in a wheel well or engine compartment. Ask neighbours to do the same and to check their porches, garages and yards where she could hide or may be trapped. See Pawboost for more suggestions and sample posters. Post notices in a 5+ block radius, include outbuildings and construction sites. Put notices in nearby (within a 10 block area of your property) neighbours' mailboxes. Post on FB lost and found dogs and cats site and on community and local store notice boards. Go out AFTER dark and bring food and treats. Walk around a 5 block area, stop periodically, semi hide and put the food beside you not in your hand and softly call. Listen carefully but do NOT make any loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owners as safe.
